Our Story:
Rising from the Ashes
It was June, and as I stood there, watching
helplessly as flames consumed my home, a profound sense of despair washed over
me. "Devastated" barely scratched the surface of what I felt—the
weight of my family's loss was suffocating, made heavier by the realization
that much of this anguish could have been alleviated with timely financial
support. In that moment of crisis, the absence of a straightforward
organization to provide immediate assistance felt like a cruel irony. While we
were drowning in chaos, the convoluted guidelines to receive help loomed like
an insurmountable mountain.
Ashes 2 New’s mission began with a personal
tragedy. We started by helping one of our own—a family left with nearly nothing
after a devastating house fire. In every crisis, we saw an opportunity for hope
and renewal. Our journey began as a fire restoration nonprofit, committed to
helping families rebuild after the devastation of fire. Working closely with
communities in distress, we realized that comprehensive support must extend
beyond fire restoration. We have witnessed firsthand the multitude of challenges
faced by individuals and families—challenges like losing homes and struggling
with financial and medical crises. This inspired us to broaden our mission,
evolving into an organization committed to active community support, extending
beyond any single calamity
Our Brief History:
The inception of Ashes 2 New stemmed from that
personal tragedy in 2023, when our home was engulfed in flames, leaving behind
nothing but rubble. The aftermath was marked by shock, grief, and panic—a
period riddled with overwhelming emotions and uncertainty about the future.
Despite this immense loss, we saw an opportunity to transform our pain into a
beacon of hope for others facing similar adversities.
Through our own
experience, we understood the critical need for a supportive, guiding hand to
navigate through the chaos that follows such calamities. From the ashes of our
personal loss, Ashes 2 New was born, becoming a pillar of support and renewal
for families and individuals in crisis.
Beyond just fire restoration, our efforts have
expanded to distributing hygiene products, cleaning properties, and
volunteering our time to those in need. We know that rebuilding lives involves
more than just physical structures—it means restoring dignity and hope.
Our expanded mission includes diverse programs
designed to meet the comprehensive needs of the communities we serve. By
building an educated, stronger, and more resilient community, we enhance our
ability to create sustainable impacts. Each program is crafted with care and
dedication to ensure individuals and families receive the support needed to
overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Our approach requires active
engagement and collaboration with the community, donors, recipients, and
partners. We believe education is a powerful tool for long-term success and
self-sufficiency.

Operations Model:
Ashes 2 New currently
operates remotely through our Work from Home program. We also utilize a storage
unit as a base to store donations.
Renewal Mission
Working closely with distressed communities, we realized the need for comprehensive support beyond restoration.

We address the immediate actions one should take
post-disaster, providing detailed overviews on how to safeguard what remains
and begin the process of rebuilding.

Ashes 2 New is dedicated to providing a
comprehensive support system for those affected by fires and other crises. Our
mission is rooted in restoring hope and facilitating the rebuilding of lives,
one step at a time. We aim to:

relief and long-term support for those impacted by fires and emergencies.
Offer financial
assistance and resources to help families regain stability.
Collaborate with
community partners to tackle challenges, from job opportunities and food
security to housing and healthcare.
Who We Serve:
Ashes 2 New serves a
significant demographic. We operate primarily within Broward County, where
approximately 3,800 individuals experience homelessness. We also operate In the
neighboring counties of Miami-Dade Count, where around 3,700 individuals are homeless.
We also operate statewide, where approximately 29,000 people face
homelessness. In 2024 we have also
expanded our program to be nationwide, where the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development estimates over 650,000 individuals are homeless on any given
night across the United States. This widespread issue underscores the critical
need for comprehensive support services like those provided by Ashes 2 New.
